TOM HOUCK

Tom Houck was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1947. He is a pundit and civil rights activist. He worked as an aide to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) from 1966 to 1968. From 1970 to 1972, he worked as field director for the Voter Education Project (VEP). In 1972, he was named deputy director of the Washington-based Youth Citizenship Fund where he worked to register young voters. In 1977, he began his career in radio, television and print journalism.
