King in the Wilderness (2018) remains our most requested feature documentary for educational screenings.

* Emmy-award, Outstanding Historical Documentary, 2019

* 850,000 views on YouTube

* District-wide training for Atlanta Public Schools and at Booker T. Washington High School (Dr. King's alma mater)

* The interviews are part of the multi-media coursework at Stanford University's World House Project

TRUE JUSTICE:
BRYAN STEVENSON'S FIGHT FOR EQUALITY

Since its broadcast premiere, True Justice (2019) continues to propel converations on criminal justice reform and the history of racial violence and injustice in the U.S.

Measured Impact

* Over 370 grassroots community screenings

* 311 post-screening discussions

* More than 200 cities have held screenings and new cities are added every year

* More than 86 screenings took place in Middle and High Schools in the U.S.

* Screenings have taken place in five correctional facilitaties in CA, MN, and Washington D.C.

THE SOUL OF AMERICA

The Soul of America (2020) came out as the country’s political and historical moment was echoing its past. Life Stories Learning resources, impact campaign and screening tour, at the height of COVID, inspired critical conversations in classrooms and campuses about xenophobia, racism, and inequity.

Measured Impact

* Over 13,000 high school and college students screened The Soul of America

* 97% of those surveyed said the film and discussion helped them learn something new or expanded their understanding of history

* The film was used as the centerpiece of six professional organization conferences including the American Constitution Society, American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and others

* A national virtual college screening focusing on the nuances of our divided country and what citizens must keep in mind to fight towards a future led by “better angels” was attended by 3,500 students

Classroom screening of Obama: In Pursuit of A More Perfect Union

OBAMA: IN PURSUIT OF A MORE PERFECT UNION

The education and outreach initiative for the 3-part documentary (2021) aimed to increase awareness on the impact of race and gender in politics and the barriers it creates for canditates, amplify candidate development programs and increase inclusion in political representation, and increase civic awareness and engagement by facilitateing ways to register to vote, check registration status, and providing mapping tools to survey inclusive candidates running for office.

47 cities in 25 states participated, including included 21 k-12 schools and 9 colleges/universities

11,000 viewers attended grassroots screenings

74 in-person or hybrid screenings

Over 1,200 clicks to download resources created for the documentary

A CHOICE OF WEAPONS:
INSPIRED BY GORDON PARKS

Gordon Parks was one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Known widely for his photography for LIFE Magazine, Parks was also an author, filmmaker, and composer. From the 1940s up through the 2000s, Parks’ individual still images, photo essays, books, and feature films told the stories of everyday individuals, the social injustices they experienced, and the dignity they maintained.
