Screening Guide

The Screening Guide is a resource to engage audiences in informed and thoughtful discussion with King in the Wilderness. Community organizations, educators, and facilitators will discover helpful tips to organize a screening event, pre- and post-screening discussion questions and engagement strategies. These will include encouraging audiences to reflect upon the accomplishments and challenges Martin Luther King, Jr., faced in the last three years of his life.

This set of six Lessons offer an innovative approach to teaching historical reading skills and media literacy in one unique multi-media platform through the use of documentary film, first-person interviews, and historical photographs.

19 full-length interviews were completed in the production of King in the Wilderness and can be watched in full or in part in the Interview Archive. Each conversation offers an opportunity to learn from first-person accounts from Dr. King's inner circle of friends and confidants.
