Molly Jong-Fast Interview: Inheriting Boldness - Author and Journalist - Films & Series - Life Stories Interviews

Molly Jong-Fast the daughter of Erica Jong, whose landmark novel Fear of Flying marked the beginning of the second wave of the feminist movement, and her paternal grandfather, Howard Fast wrote Spartacus while in prison for defying the House Un-American Activities Committee during the McCarthyism persecutions of the 1950s. So, it is little surprise that Ms. Jong-Fast has become one of the premier writers and political commentators of our time.  Still only in her mid-forties, the prolific Ms. Jong Fast is already the author of two novels and a memoir, and since 2016, she’s been a go-to observer of the tumultuous American political scene, writing for Vanity Fair, The Atlantic and The Bulwark. For this election year, her quick-witted commentary garnered her a spot as a political analyst on MSNBC. This episode of The Thread, like Mollie Jong-Fast herself, is as fun as it is insightful and thought-provoking.
